I had one course that is called Get Finternational, the point of that course is that we have to make different events related to Finnish culture, so it´s quite interesting. One of the events that I chose was to go a prom. We went to Naantali to see a Finnish prom and that was really funny. First of all, we got to Naantali and some students from the school were waiting for us to show us the school and the small city. The school was amazing, there was a TV in the hall and a pair of billiards to play, I was impressed with that, it´s really different in my country. Then, we went to the lake, obviously, it was frozen and we also saw the Moomin world, but it was closed. In the lake they were making a fire to cook some sausages and marshmallow, they were so good. After eating the sausages and enjoy the nature we went to see quickly the centre of the city and came back to school. At the school, the other two students explain to us how the education works here, in Finland and a bit about the prom. Then, we had lunch at the canteen of the school a soup and we were ready to go and see the prom. The prom was really different from what I imagine before going, the students were very well dressed and it remembered me an American film. They danced about 8 different songs, of different types of music, like tango, balls, and the last one was really funny because it was a mix of different famous songs and it was nice. I think it is a good experience and a perfect chance to see a true prom.
When I posted about Tallinn I didn´t say anything about Riga, so as it was part of the trip I would like to talk about it for a bit. We only spent one day there so maybe it´s better to have a couple of days to visit it better, but it wasn´t my favourite place to visit. I like it but it wasn´t special for me, although I have to say that it was very cold and we were a lot of hours in the street and also a woman tried to rob me, so maybe I can not be totally objective with my opinion. The free tour we made was interesting because it was a bit different, we went to places which are not popular and touristic, and I really like doing this kind of things when I travel. Riga is not a really big city but if you want to visit different places and not just the touristic area I think you will need more than one day. There are a lot of buildings which are worthy to see, at least from outside, different churches and other kind of buildings. For me, people were really different from Finland and a...
