My family came to visit me last week, so I went to Helsinki to pick them and we decided to visit Porvoo because it´s near Helsinki. Porvoo is a very small town for almost one hour by bus from Helsinki. We took an Onnibus bus in the morning and we spend a couple of hours there. It has these typical red wooden house next to the river and a small old town, but it´s nice to walk through the streets. There is a church with a tower and a lot of wooden houses all around. There is a ski slope in the city also!! My parents were surprised by that. There is not that much to do there but it´s a good place to walk and see the local shops about souvenirs, clothes, chocolate, etc. We had a break in a very good bakery, we took hot chocolate and some typical pastry, it was homemade that morning and it was delicious! Also, the place was really cozy and the woman was kind talking with me, and she asked me if I knew Finnish and I had to speak the basic things I know with her but she was surprised. Finally, we were finding for a place to eat there but we didn´t find anything we like for the price we wanted so we went to Hesburger, because also it´s a typical place only in Finland (I think) and my parents are not into that kind of places but they liked it.
I want to make a post about safety in this country because I feel that it´s a really safe place to live. I can talk about different examples that prove this theory. One of the first things that surprised me was that here there are a lot of coat racks at universities and other buildings, where people leave their coats for hours or the whole day and none take them, so everyone does it and it´s really useful, but I think that Spain some coats or scarfs will disappear. Another surprising thing is that in some monuments or touristic entries you buy the ticket but none take it, so none ask for it so you could go without paying anything (in Spain everyone will enter without pay), Finnish people really trust in others. Something that is amazing for me is the fact that cars stop when you are waiting, although you are not in the right place (crosswa...
